I am planning on buying an Xbox here in the next month or so. I have a wireless network using an Airport Extreme base station. In order to hook up the xbox to the internet, I will either need to run an ethernet cable through the house from where the AEBS is to the xbox.....or.....get the MS wireless xbox adapter.

So rather than spend $100 on an MS product, is it possible to use an Airport Express and plug the ethernet cable from the Xbox into this? The advantage would be that I could then also use Airtunes to stream music from my MBP.

I have read there might be some security issues. I am not running n mode - just mixed b/g. I also have WPA2 security enabled rather than WEP.

Thanks for any help.

Howard.

I use the 802.11n Airport Extreme and have zero issues. I'm also on a WPA2 network. I don't know if you could use the Express with it, but I don't see why not.
