when your trying to find the name of a street and it is under that green line for the streets. They REALLY need to fix it so the names of the streets are above the green lines unless so knows how to take out the lines or something? really annoying

I never put it on Satellite, I always have it on maps, it's faster to load and cleaner, but that's just me. But worrying about small details like this doesn't help us; truth is, iPhone has one of the best GPS capabilities of any phone, we don't really get to appreciate it a lot when we worry about small details.
I love maps too... most useful application on the iphone... but I still think there is truth to what the OP is saying. I love the traffic feature on the maps, but it is hard to navigate the streets with the traffic feature on... difficult fix, because i think traffic is just a simple overlaid layer on maps which has a problem of covering it up... perhaps if they just lessened the transparency of the traffic lines that would solve the issue
You know what really sucks about maps now... (maybe someone can show me how to fix it). Back when the iPhone 2G was out the google maps app would display the ZIP CODE when it showed a location on the map, now it does not, it just shows the address, city & state. It happened sometime when 2.0 first came out and i have never been able to find anything on the web about how to turn it back on? Does anyone know?
yuh its defintly the traffic feature, on major highways and such when "show traffic" is on, the traffic line over lays the name and number of the highway which is a little gay as you cant read what highway it is unless you turn off traffic.
