Inside A Mac Box
I have a MacBook Air and a Dell monitor lying around its about 27" and I am thinking about using it as an external display for my M1 MacBook Air, Thing is I don't want to spend $69 dollars on an adaptor and end up not using my monitor cause it isn't high up to expectations

Will using the M1 MacBook Air for an external monitor get in the way? Will it be easy? Are there any hassles with connecting/ connections?

What are your experiences?,

Thanks

Ps reasons for this question is cause I'm very minimalistic when it comes to things

Checked that yesterday myself on an Strix xg16: worked without any issues over the HDMI-port of the Apple USB-C multiport adaptor.

More general: I've been using the macBook Air in clam shell-mode since release for hours every day on an external monitor (via thunderbolt, single cable) - been all good: very few glitches, Air stays cool to the touch and drives a 5K display without any issues.

Sweet sounds good, I also found cheaper alternatives to Apples very own adapter on Amazon

Will check this out soon,
