I haven't tested rumble, but macOS plays well with the Dualsense controller and it works in Retroarch and standalone MAME no problem. I assume any SDL application will have no issue with it. I need to test with steam a bit and see how it works.

Can you try the rumble on Retroarch ?
For playstation and N64 games, You have to launch the game first then go back to retroarch menus and go to game core option to enable rumble, It isn't on by default.

Hmm. Even after setting the controller type as DualShock, I was unable to get rumble working. I am going to test my Xbox Series controller and see if rumble works on that.

Just to be sure, Did you press the 'Analog' button when you tried it ?
BTW, I think the xbox controller will work, But I am not going to get one because I don't like the layouts of it. (Especially the reversed location of d-pad+Left analog stick)

Sorry for the late reply, but yea, I did press the analog button. Still no go. However I do think there may be something wrong with my build. My controller will stop responding after a few button presses. I am going to do some more testing.
So, not sure if it is something with M1, or Monterey, but Neither the Dualsense or Xbox controller will vibrate. This is via Bluetooth. If i connect the Dualsense via USB, Retroarch freezes up. I'll have to mess around some more.
