Specs in sig.

The graphics don't seam to intensive, but I could be way off. Could I get a constant 30FPS at native res?

Thanks!

I second this question - but for the unibody Macbook 9400m. If anyone has attempted to run it can you please let me know if it's playable? If you have a Macbook Pro with a 9400m that'd be good, too.

Well, the game uses Unreal Engine 3, so it should run about the same as other UE3 games, such as Unreal Tournament 3, Gears of War, etc.

than i assume its not gonna be too hard on the notebook huh.
too bad i cant use bootcamp.. i loved mirror's edge on ps3.. : (

I've played UT3 on 2.4 GHz iMac with Radeon 2600 and it ran over 20-30 FPS on average using max settings, 1280x800, no AA/AF.

In other words, dont expect to run it at 1920x1200.

Don't know how would it run on Geforce 9400... Probably 30 fps @ low 1280x800.

well i just played m edge on my 3.06/8800gs imac last night and it ran no problem at all just like a normal fps game no particular slow or issues or anything

i didnt run max resolution i think it was 1280xwhatever but i used antialias and physx and yeah runs fine

oh ok actually there was a bit of tearing on pans and stuff but that happens on other games a bit no real problem

Yeah, your 8800m GS with 3.06 GHz CPU is about 2x as fast as a 2600 with a 2.0 GHz CPU. In other words its a champ.

Short of Crysis and Far Cry 2 on Very High, your rig will run everything.

Install Windows via Bootcamp.

The engine has no bearing on graphics performance (unfortunately or it would be easy to tell what games ran on what systems). Even if the game uses Unreal Engine 3 doesn't mean the programmers use the features the engine has to offer. Most games will use the engine as a base and build enhanced graphics etc to use with it.

On a side note a guy in my office runs it just fine on a pretty crap machine so you should be just fine to run it on your imac. (Could be wrong though).

Still, ME runs at about the same speed as UT3 on my iMac in BootcampXP.

I use 800x4xx everything medium for ME and it runs at 30+ FPS. For UT3 I use 800x4xx and a combination of low and medium sliders with about 50/50 of the checkboxes turned off. Gets me good performance (30+ FPS)

I am playing Mirror's Edge on my Aluminum 13" MacBook today and it runs perfectly! I also updated my Windows XP with the latest drivers for the 9400M:)
