OS 9 does not act right on this computer. When I run it in classic it gives this error. I think this could be what causes it how do I fix it?

Which version of OS X are you trying to run OS 9 in “Classic Mode” under? And did that version of OS X also install a version of OS 9 to run under "Classic Mode"?

I’d reinstall the OS… but first, I’d use Drive Setup 2.1 to dual partition the HD… then install a standalone & independent version of OS 9.2.2 on the first partition. THEN install whatever version of OS X you prefer on the second partition. AND I’d click that box that says “Warn before starting Classic” and never let OS X run OS 9 in Classic mode - IF you can help it.

Not knowing what machine you’re running or what OS - does not help anyone to try to assist you.

But keeping the OS'es separate as detailed above is good practice. If you can. (Some machines can’t boot into OS 9.) What’s your machine?

Want to run OS 9 apps, boot into OS 9. Want to run OS X apps… boot into OS X.

Other than this shot-from-the-hip advice, provide more info on your machine and how you intend to primarily use it and someone can likely give you much better advice.

Best of luck.;)
