As a bit of background, I used to use Macs back when the OS was about 6.5 and then went to the dark side, just for compatibility really.
Now is the time to return from my Sony VAIO.
OK, cutting to the chase, my current laptop screen is nothing great but I think it's better than many at the time so I would hate to drop in quality.
I am a hobbyist photographer and I use Photoshop and ocassionally print photos so colours need to be pretty close (not perfect, but at least close).
I was told that the anti-glare screen is only available online in the UK so I will probably never get to compare it to a glossy in the flesh, but figures can certainly help, so I was wondering if anybody knew what technology the MBPs are i.e. are they definitely TN, how many bits are they (6 or 8) and finally what about other MAc screens; are any of them particularly good S-IPS panels?
Any help would be appreciated before I drop £2K on a laptop (what recession!)
