Well, I'd really like to be able to use Launcher that was found in the older Classic Mac OS's.

My school uses it all the time (on Classic).

As I do know there is someway to reinvent the Launcher or to download it because my school just got 35 iBooks, aka "mobile lab" and they all have Tiger and have a Launcher. And when it is open ... it even shows the Launcher icon in the dock.

Any suggestions?
I would like the acutal Launcher, not one of those remade ones and I don't want to pay for it.

Anybody?

Is launcher an app that allows you to launch apps with a keystroke and typing in the first few letter of their name?

If that's what you're looking for, Butler or Quicksilver should do the trick. I personally love butler. http://macupdate.com/info.php/id/12170
No, that's not what I'm talking about.

It looks like this for those of you who need a flash back of Classic, haha.

Unfortunatley that page has Windows icons in that Launcher :(... they are servers or something

In Mac OS 9, all you had to do was to create a bunch of aliases in a folder and change the view to buttons.

Yeah.
Or a new folder, put the aliasses in it, and drag it to the bottom of the screen: Pop-up folder.

The Dock does everything for me now. I love it.
