trying to decide if i should take advantage of either the "Tips & Tricks" or "Lion Hands-on" free workshops, or if they'll be real basic things that i would know already. anyone take either already? is it worth the 1hr spent? i'm wondering if tips and tricks are also covered in the general Lion workshop too.

I'd be willing to bet you'll know more than the person telling you what's great about Lion.

Specialist: "I scroll up, Mac scrolls down, I scroll up, Mac scrolls down"

You: "RIGHT"

My very first computer was a Mac SE circa 1987 or so. Been PC ever since primarily because of business. While I was waiting delivery of my new MacBook Air, I took the intro course. I personally found it pretty basic but helpful in regards to coming from Windows XP. I'm glad I took it. The one on one package has been helpful as well. Only been once to transfer my PC data over and my guru was terrific!!

This is so true, any time I'm in the Apple Store I always hear the specialists either not knowing the information off hand or even giving wrong information and I usually bite my tongue to correct them.

i'm more interested in the "OS X Tips & Tricks" workshop, as the Apple "Genius" told me it would be more advanced. so i guess you guys are saying that it all depends on who i get as the tutor. anyway.. it's only for an hour and free, so i guess i might as well. hopefully they give out free snacks too. :)
