They should have called this stupid OS Ford Sierra cos it's awful.

So, my usual cloning MO is to boot into recovery set it working and go to bed. Won't work now. If I attempt to clone the drive I get this;

If I try and clone the volume I get this instead;

I don't know why the Mac refers to my backup, (a 1TB iOmega Firewire drive), as External Raid Media. It isn't. During Sierra one day it just decided that was how it was going to refer to it.

Any pointers would be very much appreciated.
