concerns I have at the teeth evident in the bits that the laptop sits in and the metal plate the laptop rests on at the apex is aluminum so that's metal or metal with the unibody.

Just google Cricket Laptop Stand and you'll see

no, I know what it is, i cannot seem to decipher your original question(s) though... maybe you could rephrase it/them?
Were you wanting to know if it would scratch a unibody MBP?

yes. there's two black prongs that come up where the machine rests and those have plastic teeth on them.

also, the aluminum plate that makes contact with the underside of the laptop could also result in scratches.

see image 5 of 7 on their website and you'll see the teeth I'm talking about.

it doesn't look very stable.

anyone own one and want to vouch for the stability? from the looks of it a small bump could send your investment crashing.

accidents happen...
