I have a new imac with a internal 256gb SSD. I have a 1tb external HDD for files and iTunes media, but the noise bothers me. I would like to get the crucial m500 960gb SSD and put it in a USB 3 enclosure to use. Do you think the constant use of it for media files would reduce its life faster? Anyone else use an SSD for data and media files?

Hell yeah, I have an external just dedicated to my iTunes. Very nice to have my library not take up space on my internal drive.
