Ola,
I am helping my mother rid her computer of AOL. She would go DSL or Cable, but the cheap DSL does not serve Washington state, and ComCast cable is more than she will pay (52.00 a month). Although the accelerated dial up is attractive to her for 22.00 a month. The method is downloading data and compressing it, and decompressing on the client end for speeds a bit (like 6 times faster) faster than normal dial up. I am skeptical of this, but do realize AOL is occupying far to much CPU and RAM, thus slowing the computer. ReachOne ISP is the company she wants to go with. Any opinions?
Thank you,
