I've been using the one in your link for about a week now and it has been perfect wiht my 30" Dell 3008WFP. Have seen none of the problems people have with the dual Link DVI cable.

The Apple single link DVI cable has worked perfectly with my Lenovo L220X so for anything but 30" displays I see no benefit in using Displayport.
