I seem to have issues where HomeKit every few weeks just says updating but the Lifx app works fine. I only have the lifx strips and it is connected to the cloud and homekit so I know its not that. Sometimes it will get kicked out of the cloud and I have to reset the entire strip(unplug 5 times and start over pairing).
These seem super glitchy. Wish it would work as good as my hue bulbs. Also not the best you cant set a homekit scene with a colored scene for the strips its only one solid color.

I loved LIFX bulbs but they kept dropping off my network. I returned them and replaced them with more hue bulbs. Home does have it’s problems but has become more reliable for me. I have Hue, iHome outlets, Logi Circle wired cameras and they work pretty well together. I do occasionally have problems with one of the cameras but I think that is a Logitech issue.

I have LIFX bulbs both connected natively through HomeKit as well as via Homebridge running on a Raspberry Pi. They've been pretty darn stable for me, but I'd say the ones I have connected through Homebridge are a little more stable than the newer LIFX bulbs I have with native HomeKit support.

I have 3 LIFX light globes working with Homekit. They have been working well for several months with no problems. I usually turn them off at the wall switch at night so that I don’t have to use Siri/Homekit to turn them on later. They retain their settings even after several days.
One issue I encountered setting them up was I had to initially connect them using the iPhone wifi settings instead of the LIFX app. An important step when using the Connect Device function of wifi setup was to change to default device name that pops up. Then the iPhone successfully connected the light and I could configure it with the LIFX app.
Although you have a different problem I suggest trying that name change tip next time you have to reset your LIFX device.

have you set up different colors for different scenes? doesnt seem like you can transfer scenes to homekit so your stuck with one color for each light.

Just created two scenes - one turns a light red and the other turns it to white. They work as intended, including via Siri. When creating the scene I selected the light then tapped and held its icon. The light conifguration screen was displayed and I selected the Color button which allowed me to select a color for that scene.

I mean with the led strips you can have different colors per section of the led strip(every 6inches can be a different color or around that). With HomeKit it will only save one color for whole strip. Scenes with the lightstrips I guess -are different then the normal lifx bulbs because you can’t do that.

I've got a LIFX bulb and 1 strip from them. Have had the same issues with disconnecting from the network after a week or two as well.

Make sure to update the firmware on the bulbs. Also, on your router, LIFX suggests disabling WMM and Airtime fairness. I am in the process of moving, so have not had the opportunity to change these things myself.

LIFX bulbs seem to have an issue with those features on newer Asus routers and some other brands I believe.

BUYERS BEWARE

Today is 14th day after the incident of stolen delivery & they are still making arrangement for shipping one single light bulb

I guess they are summoning alien spaceship to visit their office and pickup one bulb and deliver it to me

That’s the only reason that fits 2 week gap description taken for arranging shipment of one bulb that’s already in stock and not being shipped yet

And tomorrow is weekend, so another 2 days will be wasted cuz aliens don’t visit earth on weekends

NOT providing phone support is RUDE

NOT replying to follow up email for 7 days after the incident of stolen delivery is RUDE

NOT replying to Facebook messages is RUDE

NOT relpying to 1st post on Facebook is EXTREMELY RUDE

REPLYING next day to 2nd post on Facebook only to say thank you and Sorry then start another cycle of ignorance week including weekends, is not only RUDE but also a SLAP ON CUSTOMER’S FACE

And this whole procedure of taking REVENGE with customers is called BULLYING BY ARROGANT CORPORATE COMPANIES, cuz they don’t like to hear unpleasant truth from customers

They only like to hear pleasant lies in the form of fake reviews or silence

This is why Apple Inc stopped selling & endorsing lifx products on their website

Products could be unreliable, but company’s costumer support shouldn’t be unreliable

Lifx products & customer support, both are unreliable and you can confirm this by doing some research on AMAZON, REDDIT, TWITTER, FACEBOOK and some other WEBSITES

If you have lot of money & time to waste, than only do business with lifx, otherwise stick to philips hue, which is also endorsed by Apple Inc

Average lifx product life is 3 months, then u’ll have disconnecting issues and then finally a dead product within next 3 months & if u r really lucky, it might work longer

Lifx Ignores customers indirectly, by not providing phone support and also not giving accurate answers including date day and time about constant delays that they make in every single transaction

Now I doubt that stolen delivery was in fact empty box shipped by lifx (provided that shipping weight was only 0.90 lbs on invoice)

Facebook must put dislike button on lifx profile, so people can see number of dislikes immensely exceeding its likes

They are scamming people globally using email only from New Zealand with fake manager names
