Anybody's shipping not have an "exception" ?

Tracking says my iPad is in Nashville right now, but it's got an "exception" where as it has been "scheduled for future delivery."

Just curious if anyone's has slipped through the exception yet and started to make its rounds.

Mine hasn't even shipped yet, despite 3:30 pm ordering on the 7th. Been in prepping for two days.

When I preordered my iPod touch 4th G it was like that, and I wound up getting it 2 days before the launch date.

I believe that the "exception" means that the courier has been instructed by Apple to hold the shipment so it's delivered on the release date of March 16th.

Mine is in Nashville with the same exception. It will arrive on time I'm sure. Watching Fedex everyday feels kind of like watching paint dry.

I don't see the word "exception" anywhere on the tracking info page. But the package does appear to be sitting in Louisville. I don't know it it will stay there or move to Columbus or Cleveland and then sit there till Thursday before it proceeds to the local depot.

Just out of curiosity, what are the specs of your ipad, and did you have it engraved? I'm wondering why yours was shipped from China and not the US since they have been stockpiling them in the US for launch for a few weeks now.

Black, 64G, AT&T , engraved. I have no idea why it's shipped direct from China, but when I ordered my iPhone it took the same route.

Someone said that if you had it engraved, it would come from China since they engrave it before packing it up. That makes sense.
