I heard there's a problem with flaking, is tha on the matte finish or the rubberized lining? Anyone still enjoy the case or would you not recommend it?

The rubber lining that is in place to cover the antenna band and which gives the CandyShell the lay-on-the-table capability is what flakes.

Additionally the satin black candyshell is known to have the satin part of it peel off. it's essentially a thin coating. I'd skip it.

I've used the CandyShell Satin (white w/red trim) for a couple of weeks. It has a nice feel, but I need more grip than the case provides. I did notice quite a bit of fine red dust on the screen and the camera opening that may have been flaking from the rubber trim. It provides good protection, but it made my iPhone feel some heavier and bulkier. I have now replaced it with a MagPul Field case, which I really like.
