Hey Guys, I just picked up a MBA 16GB /1TB M1 , On the fence to purchase the Apple Care + ... Seems like a good deal for 3 years with the accidental protection... I don't travel with the laptop and prob wont take it out of the house... But Murphys law is there. LOL Like any other Ins policy.. How many of you pulled the trigger on the apple care with your M1 Purchase.. thanks!

I have an MBA 16GB/1TB and got AppleCare+ for it. But I bring mine around a fair bit so it gives me a bit more peace of mind!

I do generally tend to get AppleCare+ for things though!

v.1 of any Apple product? I think AppleCare+ is a given. Tacking more cost onto a device already pricey, but 3 years of grace seems worth it.

I never buy AppleCare for anything. It’s no different than any other insurance policy. Over time, the majority of people are paying more for the insurance than they will ever be paid out.

Check your CC's terms and conditions. I get a full extra of warranty year through American Express with my particular card. AC+ might not be worth it for that final third year alone.

I probably won't as my use case is 90% just around the house to give me some mobility when I'm working. Plus, we don't have young ones living with us any more. :)

I figure that if an issue with the M1 shows up, it would be a special case and Apple will do a recall campaign.

Thanks Guys, just went to local apple store and got the apple care + my wife is a 1st responder so we got a small discount as well .. for 3 years w accidental coverage I figured I’m covered now and put my mind at ease
