Honestly, I rarely ever use EDGE. Since most of my time is spent at work, school, or at home, I usually am hooked to wifi. Is there a way to cancel my edge service?

If you have done it, do you miss it? I'm just trying to figure if its worth the 20 bucks...

Won't you also lose visual voice mail? Something to consider...

Hmmm... Yea, visual voicemail is great. I don't know, it might be a tough decision.

This is an interesting dilemma. For me it is the same question as "should I buy an iPhone or an iPod Touch?"

One of the major deciding factors in my case was Edge. I want to be able to access the web anywhere I have Edge connectivity. This kind of access puts the iPhone in a different league. Without Edge you might as well sell it and get an iPod touch, it will be a lot less hassle.

^maybe I didn't mention, I've had the iPhone
for a couple months. I love everything about it. I always answer
my phone so I rarly have a voicemail. Edge just isn't very good unless you running a mobile version of a website. It does come in handy with google.maps etc...

I'll probably wait til after the update... The gps might be worth having!:D

at&t now lets you remove edge from your bill, basically- u cant access the internet "free" (meaning u pay a monthly bill for it) - but personally i feel thats half the reason to have an iphone... im keepin it personally
