Anyone crazy enough to buy iPhone 8 while waiting for X?

Curious if anyone is doing this. Gonna be very hard to wait for the X for the next two months. But I know I will regret getting just an 8 since it isn't unique enough compared to last year.

No. Major differences between both models where someone makes a decision to wait or purchase the iPhone 8 based on what they want.

Coming from an iPhone 6, the iPhone 8 will be a welcome shift across battery and speed for me.

I might be buying the 8+ and not get the X. I love my 7+ and it's form factor.

I might, depending on T-Mobiles pricing on the 8. With Jump on Demand I can switch phones every 30 days, so if the out of pocket is low I just might.

Nope. The X just doesn't offer enough to be worth it. The price is ridiculous so I can't buy it on principle alone.

I will be purchasing an 8 tonight. After the 6+/6s+/7+ I want to downsize. Love the screen, not the profile of the pluses. Not spending $1350+ tax for the X. Maybe the XI will be more competitively priced next year.

I'd be hard pressed to think of a bigger waste of money than to buy an 8, knowing you're going to buy an X in less than 2 months.

If the X were coming out within 14 days of the 8 Plus? I'd do it, keep the 8 Plus until I got my X, return the 8 Plus, and marvel at the X.

As it is, I'll keep using my 7 Plus until Nov. 3.
