My iPhone X Otterbox Commuter case had a hole in the perfect spot over the Apple logo to put a Nite Ize socket in.

Since I am upgrading to the 12 Pro, it seems the same and similar cases no longer have holes. I could put the Nite Ize socket directly on the case, but I hear they only last 6 months or so and I really prefer it to be a more flush fitting.

Given that, I am considering putting my own hole in a case like the Commuter. I am trying to come up with a way to do this cleanly.

Anyone done this or have tips for a way to do this that leaves a nice, smooth opening?
