Did anyone get 'Declined' at the last step of the process?

I know I don't have bad credit, and I did it 4 times and I get the same thing.

I thought 02 offer some sort of deposit option, anyone know anything about this?

Would like to hear form anyone who's been declined and where they're at now with their orders.

Cheers

New customer or upgrade?

If it's an upgrade you might still be within your minimum contract (if not on an iphone contract) and thus unable to upgrade.

No. What did the site say?

check your file

I would check to make sure O2 hasnt put 4 credit searches on your file. this might go against you if you go to another carrier.

There was a big 'DECLINE' in red

then under it it said your order has been declined at present etc etc.

Very good point - one trigger for the credit ref agencies is multiple searches in a short period of time. It (potentially) indicates 'stress borrowing'

Oh dear - and now they are not taking orders due to high demand and asking you to come back on the 10th. I feel for you foiegras :(

Sh*t!

Does that mean I've screwed my chances?

No - get in touch with Experian, Equifax etc and tell them and they can confirm how many searches were made and amend your record if need be.

This may take a few days to resolve though? I think.

Shouldn't I have been offered a deposit option? I was told that even if there is a credit decline o2 usually offers a deposit type scheme? Any truth in this?

I would expect they will provide that option - however with such high demand they will cherry pick customers and not invest the time in calculating and offering deposit options. You might have a better chance in-store?

Okay,

After the decline at O2 site, i placed order on CPW, got confirmation that they recieved it.

A while later got an email saying I was declined but can go ahead with 150£ deposit and all I do it ring a number to confirm this.

On phone waiting for a Human to speak to me, will let you guys know how it goes.

Thanks

SJ

I got the same at o2 (I have little credit history but it's all good....I was even with 02 for 12 months previously!

I tried CPW and it went through and told me that it was being "processed" fingers crossed!

I have no issues paying a deposit, I would just like to be given that option!

let us know how you get on

Okay!

DONE! Ordered, paid deposit which I should get back in 6 months.

The dude on the phone did say if I don't get the phone by friday it may arrive monday.

excellent!
wonder why I haven't had any info from them other than processing.
what time did you order? I didn't order mine with them till around 12 and I ordered the 16gb

Didn't get declined but did get "referred" - maybe because I'd already tried three times - so if that shows as three credit searches, it would look a bit iffy. :|

I didn't get the 'deposit' email quickly, it came a few hours after getting the initial CPW email acknowledging my order.

Hope it works out for you guys!
