I was thinking about grabbing an external drive and doing some backups and such. Was wondering if anyone had been doing this and how much resources does it take up? I heard PAVTUBE was good.

Looking for some input.

there is no blue ray support in os x

I know that, but there is 3rd party programs that you can rip it to your HDD.

While it's true there wasn't a way to do it, there is now. While apple continues to resist the change to blue ray, you can do it on your own.

Assuming you have an after market blue ray drive, here's what you need:

It's a beautiful thing :)

Nice thanks buddy. How much resources would you say it takes on the system?

I can't say for sure. I'm waiting to purchase a blue ray drive. I've got the enclosure now just need the drive. I've been eyeing up this Sony Optiarc BD-5730S-01

I've seen it on eBay for around 160ish and read great reviews on MakeMKV's forums but being that I just bought a new uMBP and OCZ SSD, I'm going to wait a month or 2 to purchase but as soon as I do i'm going to be all over MakeMKV :)
