Anyone done the paypal / iTunes thing to get free songs?

Do you have to comletely start a new account? I have paypal, but I originally started my account with a credit card... can I still get those 5 free songs if I hook up my paypal account now?

I just used a second email address, worked for me. dont know if they are still doing it though
