Hi,

Just wondering whether there's any lag or slowness experienced when running more than one 4K/5K monitors with 450/455 GPU.

460 seems to have no lag at all driving two LG 5K monitors (as demo'ed in couple YouTube videos).

I am planning to use one LG 5K and one 4K (LG 27UD88), and sometimes a 12.9-inch iPad Pro connected via Duet.

I don't want to wait to get 460 and if 450 itself can do the job, then why pay more?

Thanks!

I have the top end 2016 MBP with the 460 and its driving two LG 5K monitors, I have lag every single time in Mission Control.

I'm not trolling. Many are curious how your setup would work with video editing as Apple suggested in this photo?

I've used two 4K monitors (2 LG 27UD68's) with a 455. I've noticed no difference (everything was smooth fyi) vs when using one 4K monitor but I've only used it a couple times at my friend's office space so I can't say definitively yet if there's an overall difference in performance.

And, yes, Mission Control sometimes lags even when my laptop isn't connected to any monitor (seems more of a MacOS issue).

Thanks mcopm112, that is reassuring... I am planning to use one 5K and one 4K.

Sorry can help you, i don't do video editing.

I do have about 5 desktops on each monitor and about 15 total windows open at a time on each monitor..this identical setup did not lag with the same laptop and two thunderbolt displays
