am I the only one who gets annoyed with the icons all twisting and moving around to different spots? Why can't the icons change to landscape orientation but stay in the same spot as portrait orientation? Basically I want the rest of the icons to behave like the dock buttons. Change orientation but stay in the same spot.

I can't imagine Apple iOS programmers like the way this is implemented.

Wouldn't they have to be shrunk then? It would just look weird. It's the same case on the iPad.

The apps shifting doesn't bother me as much as the wallpaper shifting and not centering in the live area. It seems to center to the whole screen instead.

Oh jeez I didn't notice that until you mentioned it. Dammit.

I wonder if it would be better if all the icons just rotated and the dock stayed in the same place.

Why would they have to be shrunk? I think the OP is referring to just spinning the icons in place rather than rotating the entire board and rearranging the icons. Bugs me too.

Part of me agree that it should just pivot the icons. Another part of me wonders, if all we want is them pivoting, why do anything to them at all?

Bottom line is, either way is a fairly useless feature (IMO).

I somewhat disagree. I had my 5 jailbroken and hooked up to bluetooth mouse and keyboard. I used it in landscape mode for studying and doing work. It was really annoying going from one project to the next with a sideways springboard. Once I found a jailbreak app to rotate the screen, I was much happier.

That said, I don't use my 6+ in that capacity yet.
