I've used iTunes for years now, including TV shows for a long and an Apple TV more than two years.
It's great, and I have external drives, to hold the shows I buy and backups too.
However, I recently discovered Amazon's TV store. You can't download the file to a Mac, but they keep the TV shows, and you can stream it from any browser, when you log in.
I have to say. I really like this. Maybe my absolute favorite TV show I will continue to get from iTunes, but for the rest this is a great solution because Amazon keeps the file for you, it will be available a long time to stream, but yet it's not taking up your own hard drive space. Know what I mean?
Of course, it won't help your iPod or iPhone, but I never watch shows on them anyway. I always watch TV on my big screen TV connected to Mac Mini or Apple TV.
I'm really liking this Amazon direction. It's just great to not take up all the space, but yet still have access to the show.
What does everyone else think?
