Hey Guys

I am not sure if i am posting in the right thread, but i will give it a whirl.

Does anyone here hate purchasing apps with ugly icons. My personal preference is to knock back apps with bad icons not to spoil my home screen.

Otherwise i prefer to hide them with face ID how annoying that sounds. Heres how my homescreen looks like based on my preferences.

What are your thoughts about ugly icons.

Ugly icons don’t bother me in term of Home Screen aesthetics but in term of app UI/UX. Many times an app’s UI/UX is reflected on its icon.

I hate icons in general, and never use them. When I had my Android, everything was accessible through gestures and widgets.

Now, I use the action button, stackable widgets, backtap, and the control center.

Ugly icons don't bother me, but then again 99% of my apps are only in the App Library. What I hate are apps that don't have a dark mode variant (hi Amazon).

While I may not be a fan of some icons on some apps, I buy or use the apps for the functionality and not for their visual appearance.

Ugly UI is a deal breaker, ugly icon not. I might prefer some icons rather than others, but I don’t spend lots of time looking at the home screen in detail.
