Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?

Sometimes I have keyboard shortcuts just not fire the action, and I have to try a second time to get it to work. Specific actions would Command+Tab to switch windows, or Command+Control+Q to lock the system. I got wondering if maybe my left command key is physically wearing out, but I don't seem to have the problem with certain other shortcuts like Command+C/V for copy/paste or Command+Q/W for closing stuff.

I have observed the behavior from multiple different user accounts running on my laptop, so it doesn't seem to be related to a specific user profile.

I see a thread at Apple's site about something that seems similar. (I do occasionally invoke Launchpad, but I can't tie this to happening "right after" I do that...) macOS 15.2 seems about right for when it would have started happening.

Command+Tab to switch windows
Definitely the same here with the App Switcher (Command+Tab), where every now and then it doesn't come up the first time for me and requires a second try to activate.

This is with a new Magic Keyboard and macOS 15.3.1.

Actually watching out for this some more after replying to your post, I think it might have to do something with Stage Manager being active.

I'll have to observe it a bit more, but is it the same for you when Stage Manager is active?

I switched off stage manager; I wrote my own 30 years ago. Apple is sometimes too ambitious.
;JOOP!

I don't use Stage Manager. Just to be sure, I checked and it is toggled off in Settings → Desktop & Dock.
