I've had games and such crash within Windows, with my RX 580. I found a thread which detailed issues with the drivers and how the default settings for the card (which can be altered within Wattman) are lame.

Granted, so many people have said different things regarding this—changing the temperature threshold, altering the voltage, etc. I want to do what's best for my card AND my Mac Pro, especially because these guys on such threads aren't dealing with Mac Pros; they have more leeway with their PSUs.

Below are a couple of the threads. I followed the advice of only changing temperature thresholds, but that merely prolonged the time I could game BEFORE the crash happened. In the end, I still had to experience my game freeze and crash on me, and I also got to hear the wonderful leaf-blower noise of the cooler's fans.

It is certainly a driver/settings-related issue which AMD is being too negligent to hammer out.
