I posted on the troubleshooting sub forum but got no joy so I thought I'd try here. Basically the title says it all. Push mail notifications are sporadic at best and at worst non existant. I have to open the mail app to get it to fetch and then it notifies. Is this an iOS 8 issue or should I be doing something specific? Have everything set up to fetch and push with notification turned on to banner.

I've noticed my mail noise sometimes does not ding for up to 30 minutes after the time stamp on the email. Previously it was never more than 3 or 4...

This is with a work exchange account.

Gmail no longer supports push in default mail app since last year I thought. It would work if you maintained it from before as Google would support the old exchange link,, but I doubt it switches phones. You need the Gmail app for Push.

Well that sucks. Thanks for the info though.
