After restoring from Time Machine to set up a new M1 Max MBP (coming from an Intel based MBP running Monterey), I noticed the "Relocated Items/Security" folder on the desktop of the new MBP takes up more than 1GB, and includes all manner of random items, such as the Big Sur dynamic desktop wallpaper.
There's an explanation inside the folder that says, "Some of your files had been in a location that is now incompatible with MacOS security settings. These files were moved to the Security folder for your review."
All the other files (there are hundreds) look like they are part of MacOS. There are several dozen sub folders in there, including ones related to dictionaries, HomeKit, Voice Services, TimeZoneUpdate, MacSoftwareUpdate, GeoPolygonDataAssets, and many others.
Can I safely delete these files without affecting the operating system?
