So, here's a little story.
I go to Redmond, WA, to the Bella Botega movie theater. With the iPhone 5, I'd always burn through 15-20% of my battery, just sitting in the theater with the phone in my pocket. The LTE signal is really, really weak inside, and so I'm guessing my phone is struggling between LTE and 3G and dumping its battery.
My wife's iPhone 5 does exactly, EXACTLY the same thing. Both phones on iOS 7.
Fast forward to today. My wife and I got the new 5s. Tonight, with LTE on, at the theater, we drained 2% during Prisoners. We both checked our phones before going in. And this was a long movie (Prisoners).
Now, is this perhaps new signal management on the 5s specifically, or is it the M7 chip doing its motion sensing and seeing no real movement (phone in pocket) and doing some power-saving?
Just a thought. Probably too early for most people to tell, but I'm certainly curious if anyone else has noticed similar things...
