Every once in a while, my glances just freeze.

The weather won't update, the stock won't update. The activity glance would just show the circles with no titles

any fix?

My weather was stuck earlier this evening (not updating the hourly views) but seems to have resolved itself. That was the first time.

I've never had the rings freeze (that I noticed)

Do you mean the weather glance or weather app?

Yes I have been seeing freezing and it drives me nuts. What I don't understand is that everything will be working well and then all of a sudden they won't load or refresh, and yet nothing has changed. I haven't even moved.

Same thing happens with the applications on the watch as well.

Going in by way of the glance but then tap on the basic weather to get the circular depiction of the next 12 hours. Which at that point means in the app. Just tried it now and it was quite slow.

Anyone know if apps, and by extension glances, on the Apple watch just utilize the phone connection for information or does the phone actually run the app you are using on the watch in its background?

Also those of you who suffer from this is background app refresh enabled for these apps on your phone? Wonder if that had anything to do with it?

Im having the same issue. All my glances wont refresh. A quick restart of the phone and the watch fixes the problem when it does happen. So far 3 times for me.

Simply opening the AW app on the phone fixes it for me.

There was this cute girl on the subway, and while I thought I was glancing, my eyes were clearly frozen. Good thing I had my shades on.

I had this problem only one time. Not only were glances freezing in general, but the swipe up/down gesture was not working correctly--the glance would only swipe halfway up or down.

I chalked it up to the Watch was probably busy doing something right at that moment, because it cleared itself up after about a minute. This was pretty close to Day 1 of setting it up (probably day 2 or 3) and it hasn't happened since. In fact, I'm really not having any problems at all with mine for now.
