Anyone else waiting for iOS 8?

Hey guys,

Just curious as to if anyone else will be joining me and waiting to use the new iOS 8 until we get our phones Friday (or later for those of you in a queue). I think it'll be kind of fun and add to the experience of using the new phone in conjunction with checking out the new OS at the same time.

No, just asking if you are going to download it tomorrow on your current devices or wait until you get the iPhone 6/Plus
 
iPhone 4 doesn't support it.
iPhone 6 doesn't come until 10/14.
Apple Pay (most liked feature) doesn't come until Oct.

I guess I'll be waiting.

Yeah, Ive been on the beta on my MBP (kept my iMac on Maverick until the final release). Been liking it so far! The compatibility between iOS 8 and Yosemite should be pretty cool, looking forward to utilizing all the features.

Yea, its my main pc for college and I'm CS so installing the beta would be a bad idea haha.

AirDrop between iOS and OS X, Handoff, and iCloud Drive are my favorite features. Also since I'm CS, new Swift language looks exciting.

Yup can't wait.
 
Been running the GM since the keynote on my I5. I'm ready for all the apps to update tomorrow.
 
I want xcode 6 to come out so I can code in swift. I don't like having xcode 5 and xcode 6 beta installed.

Huh? What do you mean? :confused:

If you are jailbroken if you ever get tired and want to go back to stock iOS the only way you can do that is a restore through iTunes... which will force you onto iOS 8 and you will lose jailbreak.
 
I am waiting until Friday to use it on the iPhone 6. Its only 2 more days and I want my new phone to have a completely new experience. I will download iOS 8 on the iPhone 5 before I sell it though :)
 
I'm so glad I got the 64 GB phone, my 16 iPad is too full for the update and I have to clean it up. :mad:
 
Yep! I will wait on iOS 8, just so the phone feels like a new experience. I also plan to set it up as new, and start from scratch installing apps. Looking forward to the experience of a "new" device.
 
Nope. My new phone is going to be delivered 10-17 October, so I want something to appease me until then!

I've been using it for the past week anyway to test my apps on my iPhone and iPad - Handoff is awesome, so is Hey Siri and quick reply.
Looking forward to Yosemite too, but my Mac doesn't have the newest Bluetooth chip so no Handoff from my Mac to my phone which is a bit of a shame. Wifi calling via my iPhone and SMS relay should be good though.
