I believe these will be the first 500GB 7200RPM 2.5" HDDs. I've been waiting to get my hands on one for a while now...anyone else? Anyone have any info on when they're coming out (anything more specific than the Q4 08 that they said on the announcement sheet) or possible pricing? And most importantly...will they fit in the MBPs? The 7200.3's fit fine in the MBPs, right?

Yeah, I'm waiting on the 7200RPM 500GB drive to become available, I think it'll be after xmas before we'll see them...
Hell yeah! 500 gigs, that's like more than triple what I have now...the possibilities. 
These drives should be the 9.5mm drives. These things better be worth the wait, I was about the shell out the 160 AUD for the 320gig 7200. Does anyone remember the just released price for, say, the 320gig 7200rpm drives?

lol. Once you realize you have that much space, you end up collecting a lot. Like the 4 seasons of House on my HD.

my question is.. would these things get more hot than the 320GB @ 7200 currently out? i would love to have 500 GB @ 7200 so I can run a more hard drive balanced bootcamp XP setup
