Im at 2.5 hours usage, and just about to get the 20% warning :(

Anyone else getting this??

And people jump and down demanding multitask. Check make sure you don't have like 50 stuff opened. If you are not sure, reboot the unit will close everything. Don't know if there is a quicker way. I have a 3GS and it works fine since the first day of gold release. Good luck.

I'm on the 3G and not jailbroken. So i'm not multitasking anything...

what's your brightness? at full brightness my 3GS will burn through a battery like a SUV. at 20% - 30% it's a lot better.

multi-tasked pandora yesterday and it was about the same as playing the ipod and multi-tasking. using the same API's now

Is your 3G the full 2 years old?

Whether or not this is 4.0's fault I suggest getting the battery replaced. I had forgotten how much better mine used to be...I just got it replaced in my 3G and I was amazed at how much better my battery life could be.

If you're gonna keep using your 3G it's a worthwhile investment.

I did for a short time this morning, but it was a persistent issue with the Push associated with our corporate exchange server. I have had to delete and reconfigure my account 5 or so times in the last year, did that again this morning and seems to be back to normal.

Yes it's the 2 years old. I plan on getting the white iP4 but who knows when that will be. My apple care expires 7/11/10, do I have to prove to them my battery sucks or what?

Thanks.

(I'll also try 'resetting' the battery by draining it)

No idea, mine was expired so I just sent it here:

You have to go without your phone for 2 days, so if it looks like you can get your white iPhone soon it may not be worth doing it.

But if it'll be longer than that (or if you're giving your 3G to someone else to use afterwards) it may be worth it. It was cheaper than I thought it would be.

My 2 week old 3G – I got a new one under AppleCare – showed a fast battery discharge after iOS 4 upgrade probably because of Push GMail (Exchange). I reverted to Gmail (IMAP) when it happened and things seem to be okay now.

BTW, I am experiencing slightly more lags after the upgrade.

better battery life with multitasking enabled..... I've been streaming Pandora in the background all morning, I am down to 90%.....
