I have Gmail, and I use the "push" feature on my phone. The 3G actually wasn't all that slow. Since I've gotten the 4, the push feature is VERY slow to retrieve mail. In fact, I sometimes have to push my email button 2-3 times for it to register that I'm trying to search for mail. Anyone else having this issue?

If by "slow" you mean "not pushing at all", then yes

I thought I was the only one - slow.. having to do it 2-3 times because it isn't pushing... yup - that's my issue.

So others are having this issue as well?

I use Yahoo and it hasn't worked all day. Is this a Yahoo problem or an AT&T issue?

I push my mail icon and sometimes it doesn't even register - I have to tap it 2-3 times. Sometimes it takes upwards of 40-50 seconds for it to work...

"gmail" function on the iphone doesnt support push natively unless you set it up as an exchange account.

when your setting your account up and hit "gmail" instead of "exchange server" the only thing that will push is your contacts and calendar.

google setting up a push for the iphone via "exchange account" for gmail and you'll get instructions on how to do that. the only other thing you can do with the "gmail" settings is set it to fetch every 15/30/etc. min

if you want real push, set it up as an exchange account and you'll get your emails instantly.
