I have a 17” 2010 2.66 I7 MacBook Pro here that has a dead board. Green light on charger but doesn’t charge a battery or show any life.
There was no corrosion on the board, and the liquid indicators are white. There was some sticky stuff on the bottom side of the board when I received the unit, which looks like maybe a soft drink spilled in the express card slot or something...
A good used goes for one of these costs $250 plus, which is obviously not worth it, and PowerBook Medic charges $350 starters.
Anything that can be done to save this thing or should I part it out?
(I have swapped dozens and dozens of boards but I try not to do it if it’s cost prohibitive.)
Thanks!
Luke L.
