Anyone find fingerprint slow for notification unlock?

Fingerprint unlock is really fast. It's amazing. But only if you are unlocking it the normal way. If you are trying to unlock a certain notification, say, a text it gets annoying. You have to first press the home button to turn it on, then slide the notification and then finally place the finger back on the home button. It's just really slow.

Any ideas?
