Specifically I’m looking for something like this (https://www.amazon.com/Bestfy-Charg...882&sr=8-7&keywords=iphone+car+charger+cradle) but I want one that utilizes Qi wireless charging instead of having to plug my phone in.

I’ve found some that suction cup to the window or dash, but I don’t want that. I really like having the cradle plug into my cigarette lighter, I have a Subaru Forester and it sits perfectly next to my dash. Anyone had any luck finding something like this?

I'm looking for this exact thing also. Hopefully more wireless charger designs come out over the next few months. Now that Apple has stepped into the game, there will be an uptick in this area. That's not a sleight on other phones that have had wireless charging already, BTW. Just the nature of the game. Perhaps more cars will have built in wireless chargers now too. Would be a great selling point for CarPlay vehicles

Looking for the same thing here. Would love a wireless cradle to set my phone down into (in a cup holder).

This one from iOttie seems like it'll be the one to beat...

Has Qi fast charge, so in theory once the iPhone gets the wireless fast charge update, it should work with this one.

I've had the v2 and v3 of this same mount in my car for the last few years and it's amazing.

Looks to be shipping on Friday:

Yeah, but it still is a suntion cup mount. The thought of having a chord run down my dash is annoying. I’m looking for one that plugs into the cigarette lighter...

I've got this one on order to deliver tomorrow. I was visiting a friend this past weekend and she was using it for her android phone and liked it. I don't know if it will work through the Spigen case I put on my iPhone 8 though. I hope it does. I don't want to have to take the case off to use it.
I would have preferred a CD mount rather than an air vent mount but I didn't see any like that on Amazon.

I'd love a wireless charger for my car, but the main problem I see is that I would still have to plug in the iPhone in order to use CarPlay since my car doesn't support wireless CarPlay. So, it doesn't really make sense to go wireless, for me.

This just came in. It does charge through my case (a spigen) and it comes with a vent mount, a suction cup and a desk stand so you can use it in the car or house.

The OP (and I) are looking for something that plugs directly into the cig lighter w/o the dangling cable though. Literally straight into it (see the example he linked in the first post.) The whole point is to have no cables.

Unfortunately, it now shows as "Currently unavailable." with no clue of if or when it'll be back in stock.
I've failed to find it anywhere else either.
Does anyone know of another (online) stockist?

How do you like it?
After giving it some time I like it ok. I'm used to having a magnetic CD mount which was always rock steady and located in a good viewing place. My vents are higher so the phone is further away and blocks some of my view of the instrument panel (how many miles left before I need to fill the tank, what radio station, etc). Also, it wiggles around because of the nature of the three arms that grab it. At first it was a real shaky fit and even fell off the vent, but I realized there are two different slots and I turned it to the narrower slot so it stays on the vent better.

It does charge through my case all the time though with minimal adjusting to find the right spot.

An update to my review - after falling off my vent again, even on the smaller slot holder, I looked at my old CD mount magnetic holder. Sure enough, it used the same ball joint. So I unscrewed the retaining ring, removed the magnet and put the wireless holder in it's place (after removing the vent mount part which has the same retaining ring and ball joint). So now I have a wireless charger/holder with a CD mount. Better location, more stable and the phone doesn't get hotter when I have the heat on in my car.
