Anyone found a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI cable/adapter yet?

Hello,
Just wondering about the Mini DisplayPort to HDMI cables existance yet? I've been looking around everywhere since I bought my MBP with nothing to show for it. If anyone's found one that'd be great. The best thing I've found so far is the fact that MonoPrice plans on carrying them, but not until somewhere around the end of January 2009. If anyone has any better info than this, it'd be greatly appreciated.

just get a dvi to hdmi cable and a mini-dvi to dvi adaptor
 
Yeah I know, I already purchased the Apple Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter and had a spare DVI->HDMI cable around, but I'd prefer to have one, 6-12foot Mini DisplayPort -> HDMI cable, rather than a couple cables with a thick adapter in the middle due to the wiring management system I use.
 
I presume you could also go mini display port to display port, then display port to hdmi which would preserve audio

...which would be great if there was such a thing as a mini-displayport-to-displayport adapter. I have a monitor with a displayport input, but as far as I can tell, there's currently no way to make this connection.
 
I can't believe there is still no cable for this. I'm close to buying MDP to DVI and DVI to HDMI.

Very annoying, sorry to bump an old thread but christ...how long does something like this take?
 
there was rumor that monoprice.com was going to make a cable. i emailed them last week and they said they still don't have a possible release date.:(

I wonder if the new LED Cinema Display takes audio from USB or the mini-displayport.
 
anybody tried using the mini displayport to dvi, then dvi to hdmi adapter? does it work on hdtvs? only picture or with audio? going to try next week but it'll be nice if somebody could give me a heads up, thx.
 
I was trying to connect my new MacBook to my 32" Samsung via VGA this evening. No luck. I would prefer connecting via HDMI so I did some research and found this thread.

Good news though, it looks like MonoPrice.com will have a MiniDisplay to HDMI adapter in mid March.

Not sure and the would be nice I am just glad an adapter is coming out. I do have a spare HDMI cable but it's only 3' long. :eek:
 
ordered mine on Monday from monoprice, should be here by friday, I'll let everyone know how it works!
 
Mini to HDMI

No sound. I connected an opical to my stereo and it was great. Maybe they will enable sound for the port later if possible.
 
Does anyone know whether the issue of no sound is a software one which Apple can update with a software or firmware release, or is it a hardware limitation of the current models of computers?
