I have a work laptop running Vista and keep several hundred contacts and my calendar in Outlook 2007. I have a Mac Pro at home and the am trying to get this working: Laptop -> MobileMe -> Mac Pro.

I cannot get anything pushed from the laptop to MobileMe. I can enter a contact into Address book on my Mac and it does get pushed from up to MobileMe and down to the laptop. My problem is my laptop is my "master" since I use it at work all day and enter most contacts and calendar events on it. Anyone get push working in a situation like this?

I have tried uninstalling, un-registering, manually syncing and nothing seems to work.

Congratulations, you have been officially screwed by apple like the rest of us, mobile me does not work like that.

Phone/Touch-me =push
me to phone=push

But for some damn reason, you cannot push from PC/Mac to ME, it only "pushes" or syncs every 15 min, it is not instant. Welcome to deception

Let me clarify, I can't get it to sync - ever. I try setting it on every hour, manual, automatic and syncing manually and nothing makes it up. I could live the the liberal interpretation of what push means if I could get anything ever synced.

Ah, I am sorry that I misunderstood your question. My best guess would be that the service is still having troubles and kinks are being worked out

I am assuming that you guys have setup start>controlpanel>mobileme preferences.

This is the console in which you can sync your calendars, contacts, and bookmarks. After you link your vista computer to the mobile me account, you can click the "reset sync data" under the advanced button. After doing this chose " replace me.com server with data from this computer."

I dont even have a mac, I only have an iphone and two vista computers, runs flawlessly.

OH!

Just to clarify, you need to download itunes 7.7 to ge the mobileme preferences in your vista control panel.

Hope this helps.

Vista and Mobile Me are not getting on

I have tried everthing with Mobile Me all weekend but no Joy. I have iTunes 7.7. Vista will sync contacts on and off with the mobile applications but Push mail and calender are not working at all on either iphone or PC. Contacts are now being sync'd via itunes. I guess MM is free for now anyway but if they want my money after 60 days I hope they get it sorted out soon.
I guess this is my punishment for chosing a PC over a Mac - big mistake.

I have iTunes 7.7 installed. I have the control panel item for MobileMe and everything set like you posted. I have un-registered and re-registered, uninstalled and re-installed iTunes and every other possible thing I can think of to no avail.

Won't sync up!

I can't even get MobileMe to sync UP to the cloud. Says "Cannot syn this computer at this time. Try again later". Been trying since last Friday.

I love MobileMe, it works mostly well for me......but only between my iPhone 3G and the website. For some reason it will only sync my bookmarks (safari) on my laptop, I can't get it to sync with my contacts or calendars. When syncing contacts MobileMe preferences gives this error message:

"dotmacsyncclient has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available"

I've tried to sync contacts to Google contacts, yahoo contacs, windows contacts and outlook contacts, they all give the same message.

When syncing calendars MobileMe preferences gives this error message:

"Calendars could not be synced due to inconsistent data.

Confirm that your computers data is valid, then reset Calendars on the MobileMe preferences on this computer."

I get this message when I am doing as it said, resetting the calendar.
I have also uninstalled/reinstalled 'Apple Mobile Device Support' and 'iTunes' and still no luck.

If anybody has any suggestions I'd be much appreciative.
It's not a life threatening problem as my iMac is due to arrive next week and I'm hoping all will be ok with that, it would just be nice if I could have the info on my laptop too, since it is supposed to work with PC's too.

*Repeated this in another thread, so I apologize if you have already read this*

Same issue here, but I'm running XP. Strange thing is things the are pulled down to XP from the cloud I can delete in XP (Outlook) and they delete in the cloud and phone, but events created in XP don't sync to the cloud. Tried all their troubleshooting tips and have another 23 minutes to wait to talk to a rep for the 2nd time...

I can't get anything to work from Windows. It screwed the calendars and contacts in Outlook, and the client keeps crashing. They need an update for Windows big time.

I know you are all having serious problems, but I wanted to say that I am working fine. Maybe you can take some comfort in the fact that some customers are working fine and maybe you will start working well soon. I had some of the same problems and sometimes MobileMe Client (on windows) says it can't connect but I just try again and it works.

For the last few days I have been pretty solid with Mail, Calendar and Contacts.

I have not been using iDisk that much. I oriiginally tested it by using the "Map Network Dirve". I did this on my Work Computer and my home laptop. Today I re-visited it again. My laptop "I" drive was still working fine but my work "I" drive was not connecting (solid failure). I simpy DISCONNECTED my "I" drive and reconnected and all is good again.

Exact same issue here. Can not for the life of me get the contact and calendar data on my Windows XP Outlook 2003 to sync with MobileMe. When I click the Sync Now button in the MobileMe Preferences interface, I see activity "Status: syncing...(contacts)" and it runs for a while. But then I go to the me.com site and nothing is there. Have tried everything (uninstall, reinstall, unregister, register, etc.). No dice. Just won't work for me.

Have you tried going from the other direction. I.E. Start with an empty Outlook Contact and Calendar (maybe even fresh .PST File) and try to get MobileMe "Server Side" setup first. Then try to Sync from MobileMe Cloud to Outlook with some sample entries. Then add some sample entries to Outlook. Once you get that workimg you should be able to copy your "saved" Contacts and Calendar back into the main Outlook Folders.

I believe you have to get everything started from the MobileMe Server Side first. Once MobileMe and Outlook are talking to each other you are good to go.

I agree that there is some serious problems with MobileMe Sync, but it appears that there are lot of people that are working without problems for it to be MobileMe just does not work.
