2.7/512/455. Got done loading stuff from a fresh restart. First it locks up on me doing photo edging LR 6. Restart and get flicking on bottom half of screen. I noticed it does this each time I start up or turn on my MBP.

Yes...I see the same on restart. Just a quick digital flicker on lower half of screen.

Get ready to feel better:

This is a normal issue if you have FILEVAULT turned on. Turn it off and problem solved (although you may want to keep it on for encryption and all that jazz)

Your welcome! :)

Thank you! I was wondering what that flicker was all about. Hopefully they fix this in a future update. Annoying.

... Okay, granting for the sake of argument that this is correct, how is that even possible? Is filevault running in the display hardware? Why would this affect the behavior of the screen?

Does it apply only to the built-in display, or do external displays see it too?

(FWIW, the black/flickery line on my screen was something else, I didn't have filevault on.)
