As the title asks, anyone have a 22" Dell widescreen display (228wfp is the model number)? Any comments on it?

I know it's the same resolution as the 20", but I'm interested in it just for the actual size to help with more flex in viewing distances and increasing the size of small elements slightly. It's about the same price as the "high end" Dell 20" when they both go on sale/have coupons/etc, but lacks some of the features.

I don't need an extra USB ports or anything like that, I have a nice powered USB/FW hub, and I'm not a fan of the way my current Dell LCD turns off the USB hub when I power the monitor off anyways.

So, what I am interested in is viewing angle, vibrant color, good blacks, response time, etc. As a benchmark, I am very pleased with my current Dell 1907UltraSharp 19" (non-widescreen) LCD. I'm particularly interested in whether this display is the full 16.7m colors or is one of these displays that does 16.2m... and whether that has been a problem for you with color banding or anything like that.

Reason for upgrade would be 1) to give my old monitor to my wife because hers stinks, and 2) more desktop space, especially the widescreen aspect ratio, to provide a little more real-estate as I start doing more video editing, just FYI. (Plus, I am budgeting for a new machine later in the year, and if I just include a new display I can slip it in "under the radar" :p).

EDIT: Alternatively, anyone know if any stores carry Dell's LCDs? I can't recall ever seeing them on display in retail stores...
