I am pretty bad at calibrating, please post your amazing color profiles here for me to steal please! --- also, do you guys reccomend checking or unchecking the "automatically adjust the brightness as ambient light changes"?? thank u, MR people kick rear--ends!

If you tell us first which LCD model you have, people will be better able to help you with an appropriate profile. Or you could try searching since there are many threads on this...

cheers!

Go to system preferences - displays - color - click on open profile and scroll down to #13 in the new window that opens. What does it say under "model"?

Ok....

Manufacturer: 00000610
Model: 00009C83
Serial Number: 00000000000
Manufacture Date: C2110E00

what does this stuff mean?

I'd be interested in the answer to this too - I've got a 9c81 screen.
Thanks.

So that's a samsung display. You can try the Samsung profiles in this thread - the ones that are for the 9c68 model should be similar, such as the one posted in post #72:

Just keep in mind that profiles are made for specific displays and can't really be perfect for all displays of the same model. The need to be fine tuned for your display. Still, it will probably be better than the default - you just have to experiment.

Hope this helps..

okay, i downloaded a few of the profiles, now how do i apply them to my display? thanks very much!

Oh, sorry for forgetting that:

just drag the .icc files and drop to

MacintoshHD - library - colorsync - profiles - displays

and then you go into system preferences - displays - color and choose the one you want from the list. Maybe put a few of them in the above folder so you can switch between them and see which one is best..
