Anyone have a good rec for a scanner program that gives me pixel info?

I'm scanning photos for a film I'm making. As I've learned this week, I should be more interested in the pixel count of the scans than the DPI. Anyone have a good rec for software I can use for scanning that makes it easy to set up the pixel counts I want for each photo?
