Sarcasmville.
Whilst pouring through my usual daily dose of mac news, I saw a review of the LaunchPad and thought it would be perfect for me. However, since I live in Australia, I won't know what it's like before I pay, and returning it is just pointless.

Does anyone own one of these things? Are they handy as they show? I was also concerned about how much gap there is in the fold one you've put your MBP in it.

Cheers.

Well, it seems like subscribing to this thread really paid off!

Must be a really popular item.

Thanks to the 73 people who don't own a LaunchPad!

While I dont own one I can think of a few concerns, if it helps.
: it does not have tabs to keep the laptop in place in relies on non slip rubber.
: it folds, and where things fold there are hinges and where there are hinges there are soon to be broken joints!
:Seems to be a little bit on the pricy side.

anybody notice how old the thread is?
i was being sarcastic

In the six months, it hasn't gotten a single reply. Now, there are 5 (including my 2).

It still looks likes a good product, except amd4me has some good points...

but...it's not really 'hinged'. It's folded, like during the manufacturing process, it's single piece of aluminium, with rubber pads, as you'll see from their website.

If things are worth it, the cost really doesn't matter, especially since it is for a $3000 laptop. But, if it is bad product, which is why I posted here for some first-hand reviews (obviously not many floating around), then $50 is $50 wasted.

I really only wanted it for 'corner protection' when it's in my slightly too small laptop bag.
