Anyone have a source for some decent ones. I've ordered 3rd party before from Monoprice (love the company) and eBay and they have resulted in slow to charging. (When I hook up an Apple branded cable to the same charger charging is normal).

I can't stomach paying Apple prices for what should be $5. Does Apple chip these now?

Thanks but looking for specific brand or off-brand recommendations. Plenty of 3rd party junk on Amazon. I don't want to play the trial and error game.

I bought a 4 pack of 6 foot white dock cables on eBay a couple of nights ago for dirt cheap from a USA seller too, let me find the link and I'll post back.

Received the cables today, and they're great! Nearly identical to the Apple branded ones too!

I could swear I got this one off monoprice.com but they don't carry them any more. At any rate it looks like this but mine is white. What's nice with this connector is it actually locks in. Plus it's 6 feet instead of the 3 foot one they give you.

I hate the connectors that lock in, they break more easily, but they're good in a pinch I suppose. I do wish monoprice carried them again, but the seller I bought mine from on eBay seem identical to the stock Apple cables, but longer :)

So charging speed is on par w/ the one included w/ the iPad?

Yes, same speed :)

and here is what it looks like:
