My first mac just arrived yesterday, a powerbook 12" 1ghz, and it came with a fresh install of 10.2.8 (the version on the restore discs). I bought the "CPU drop in version of Tiger" online and when i went to install it, the installer told me i need at least 10.3 to use the upgrade for tiger. So, does any one know how i can get around this or can any one find some kindness in their heart to lend me their 10.3 disc, please? Or the PB restore discs for with 10.3 would work too. I would really, really, really appreciate it!

i have my 10.3 restore discs that came with my powerbook when i got it in 2004. they are still in the box i think ( i hope ) which is tucked away in my storage unit. i will go have a look, if i can find them i will PM you.
